As an ex-Color user, I feel like I just got punched in the stomach by Apple.

I fully realize that this is not a good solution, and I’m looking at it as a temporary one that will allow me to learn Resolve better for the time being (waiting for the new Mac Pros - or, in my ideal world, a Linux license for $1000 or a Windows version - because I would love to get off of my reliance on Apple for hardware). Anyway, has anyone maybe used an older mac pro 1,1? I’d be fine with non-real time performance (coming from Color), and I won’t be working with any resolutions larger than full HD (mostly Pro Res HQ). I found the specs necessary for 7.1.2 here, though it doesn’t say anything about PCIe 2.0 (I do believe I emailed the developer about that). That being said, I’m trying to figure out what specs are necessary for the new Resolve. I already know there’s an issue with this machine for the current build of Resolve (all the PCIe slots aren’t 2.0… in fact, I don’t think any of them are). I’m on a Mac Pro 1,1 8×2.66 (installed the quad cores). I’ve been trying to find the system requirements for Resolve 8 online.
